A Graduate Student Avoiding his Ph.D., Being Productive,
or Being Creative and Useful in Any Real Way...

Sunday, March 26

I sat on the jet airplane next to a guy who helped Erin Brockovich with her case and who volunteered in a sleep labratory in the 70s at the University of Texas. He was one of five subjects tested by Dr. David Cohen for one of his landmark books on sleeping and dreaming. Interesting guy, he gave me advice and was a nice compassionate airplane companion. The rest of the time I slept.

San Francisco was a strange place. I tasted the rain, had some really good sandwiches, and saw many many people sleeping on the street.
