Swirls of coffee scent,
Smoke on his breath,
Raindrops kissing his lips

He is listening to Leonard Cohen sing in french of shadows
Paul Simon sings of naked lights and the sounds of silence
Then he pauses under blue neon to remember Christmas lights on lakewater

A small chemical electrical crush
And other lovely and terrible things
Cover his heart and escape in the fog of his breath
