Earlier today I overhear a conversation: "What do they say when they go get a haircut, I'd like a 'mullet'? " -- "No, I think they have the mullet already." By that logic, though, the hair grew in in mullet form, originally. Now that's creepy.

aucklands mullet problem continues, - although not indigenous to auckland the mullet is believed to have derived from unqualified wellington haridressers and when poor people could only afford tohave the sides and tops of their hair cut. a mutant strain of the style got loose in 97 and spread to the west of the city. the city council tried to get rid of the menace by aerial spraying the west of the city. however htis measure came too late and even the most fashionable parts of auckland started to believe that the mullet was in.
