Good point. So, he comes across anti-America. But so what? He lives in France most of the time, he doesn't need to love us. He's a good movie guy, intelligent. I'd rather him talk jive about my country in an intelligent way than listen to people who love the U.S. but do not really appreciate its freedoms. New immigrants appreciate the freedom we have more than we do. It is refreshing to them. We should take a step back every now and again and articulately say, "dag ya'll" and reflect, appreciating what we have. Even the freedom to say we don't like our government's foreign policy. The freedom to vote those responsible for something we don't like out of office. Mr. Depp, good going, see you in the Once Upon a Time in Mexico (or whatever it is) movie. Oh, in conclusion, there has never been a better Hunter S. Thompson.
